Frequently asked questions
I’ve spent my time at HES quietly building connections, working with peers, and ensuring that support systems are available to those who need them. Now, I feel that the time is right to step up and take on a more public leadership role because I believe we’re at a critical moment where student voices need to be amplified. The challenges we face—from concerns about the degree name to improving accessibility—require strong, focused leadership. I’m running now because I believe I can help guide us toward solutions that truly serve our diverse community. It’s not enough to just talk about the problems; it’s important that we all take ethical actions to address them.
As HESA President, I will not only listen to student concerns but work toward actionable solutions that address the root of those problems. Ethical leadership means standing by the principles of transparency, fairness, and integrity while creating pathways for real change. Whether it’s improving resources, advocating for accommodations, or pushing for open dialogue with the administration about the degree name, my goal is to ensure that we take concrete, responsible steps that benefit the entire student body.
My campaign is founded on ethical and actionable serving. Regardless of any one person’s views or hopes, we are here to serve the entire student body. My leadership will be guided by the principles of transparency, empathy, and integrity. I fully intend to ensure that decisions made under my leadership are in the best interest of the students, rooted in ethical action, and focused on delivering real results for the HES community.
That’s exactly what I stand for. As HESA President, my role is to serve the student body, and I am committed to doing so ethically and with actionable results. Whether it’s listening to concerns, finding solutions, or advocating for change, my focus will always be on serving the collective needs of our diverse community. Every student deserves to feel supported, and I will work to ensure that they do.
I understand that balancing my health, career, and education might raise concerns, but I have always thrived under challenging circumstances. Time management is one of my strengths, and I have a strong support network in place to ensure I can fully commit to the role of HESA President. My experiences navigating these challenges have made me more resilient and better equipped to serve and lead effectively.
I understand that the degree name is a significant concern for many students. As HESA President, I will prioritize open dialogue between students and the administration to ensure that our voices are heard regarding the degree name. While changing the name may not be immediate, I believe we need to push for a detailed discussion on the topic, including student forums and direct engagement with decision-makers. I will work to ensure that the administration understands how this issue affects students’ careers and perceptions of their education, and I’ll advocate for potential solutions that honor the value of an HES degree.
I recognize that HES has faced some reputational challenges, and I believe it’s crucial to address them head-on. As HESA President, I plan to work closely with students and administration to improve transparency, communication, and overall student satisfaction. One key initiative will be to amplify the incredible work our students are doing and the unique value of an HES education. By showcasing the success stories of our community, from career advancements to personal achievements, we can shift the narrative. Additionally, I will advocate for clearer communication from the administration regarding changes, policies, and improvements that are being made to address student concerns.
I may not have been as publicly visible, but I have been deeply invested in this community. My approach has always been about taking action rather than seeking the spotlight. I’ve worked one-on-one with students, helped establish groups, and focused on creating tangible support systems within HES. I’ve chosen to keep my efforts quiet because for me, it’s not about recognition—it’s about results. Now, as a candidate for HESA President, I’m stepping into a more public role to amplify those efforts and represent all students, but my commitment to making real, meaningful change has always been there.

If the administration maintains its current policies on issues like the degree name or student resources, I won’t stop advocating for change. I believe in playing the long game and ensuring student voices are continuously heard. In the meantime, I will focus on what we can improve immediately—like strengthening student networks, improving accessibility, and creating mentorship opportunities that benefit students now. Even if we face setbacks on certain fronts, I’m committed to making as many improvements as possible within the scope we have. Leadership is about persistence and adaptability, and I’m prepared to fight for students, no matter the challenges.
I’m prepared to face opposition from the administration, and I believe the key is to approach these challenges with persistence, transparency, and a collaborative spirit. If there is resistance to student concerns like the degree name or accessibility improvements, I will work to build coalitions, engage in constructive dialogue, and present data-backed arguments on why these changes are necessary. My goal is to ensure the administration understands the real impact these issues have on students’ experiences and future careers. I’ll keep fighting for what’s right, while always maintaining a respectful and solution-oriented approach.
While other candidates may have had more public visibility, my focus has always been on quietly making a difference through action. I’ve worked behind the scenes, one-on-one with students, building support networks and advocating for their needs. What sets me apart is my deep personal understanding of the challenges non-traditional students face. I’ve been in those shoes—balancing career, education, and personal struggles—and I know how to lead with empathy and action. My advocacy work, experience overcoming significant obstacles, and dedication to serving every student make me uniquely qualified to represent this diverse student body.
I fully understand the concerns surrounding my health challenges, but I want to assure everyone that I’m fully capable of managing the responsibilities of HESA President. I have a strong support system in place and have always thrived under pressure. My health has never stopped me from achieving my goals, and in fact, it has made me more resilient and disciplined. I’ve learned how to prioritize, delegate, and manage my time effectively to ensure I meet all my commitments. I’m ready to give my full dedication to serving the HES community.
I believe in ethical and action-driven leadership. If others choose to sling mud, I will remain focused on the issues and solutions that matter most to the student body. My campaign is about serving the HES community, not engaging in negativity. I’m committed to running a campaign based on integrity, transparency, and respect for my fellow candidates. Ultimately, we are all here to improve the HES experience, and that will remain my priority throughout the campaign.
My commitment to HES extends beyond any title or role. Whether I’m president or a former student, I will continue to support the HES community in any way I can. I see this as a lifelong connection, and I’m dedicated to using my experiences and resources to help future students thrive. Even after my time as president or student ends, I will always advocate for the betterment of HES and continue to contribute to its success.
I welcome differing views and believe that it’s essential for any leader to listen to a variety of perspectives. If we all agree on everything, we miss the opportunity for growth. My approach is to create spaces where students feel comfortable sharing their ideas and concerns, even if they don’t align with mine. The goal is not to push my agenda, but to serve the entire student body by finding common ground and making decisions that are in the best interest of the community as a whole.
My focus has always been on action and impact, not visibility. I’ve been working diligently behind the scenes to ensure that the HES community has the resources and support it needs. I believe that sometimes, making a difference doesn’t require a spotlight, but now I feel that stepping into a more public role will allow me to extend that impact further. Running for HESA President gives me the platform to advocate on a larger scale for the changes we all want to see.
I’ve always believed in letting my work speak for itself. My focus has been on quietly building connections, working one-on-one with peers, and ensuring that the support systems are in place for those who need them. While I may not have been as public about my efforts, that doesn’t mean I haven’t been working hard to improve the HES experience for my fellow students. I’m now running for HESA President because I believe it’s time to take those efforts to a broader level, and I’m ready to advocate publicly for the changes we need. My approach has always been about real impact rather than visibility, but I’m committed to being more vocal about our community’s needs and the actions I’ll take to address them.
Accessibility is one of my top priorities as a candidate for HESA President. As someone who has faced personal health challenges, I am deeply aware of the importance of creating an environment where all students, regardless of their abilities, can succeed. My accessibility goals include advocating for more flexible learning options, improved access to academic and mental health support, and ensuring that campus facilities (both physical and virtual) are fully accessible to all students. I also want to work on enhancing the visibility and effectiveness of existing accommodations so that every student knows what resources are available to them. My personal experience drives me to push for an inclusive HES where all students can thrive.
I’m committed to staying connected with the entire student body by listening to feedback and engaging with students from different programs and backgrounds. I plan to create more opportunities for students to voice their concerns and provide feedback on what changes they’d like to see. My goal is to ensure that every student at HES feels represented, supported, and empowered, no matter their path.
My advocacy work has given me the skills to lead with empathy, listen to diverse voices, and create actionable solutions. As HESA President, I will use these same skills to represent the student body, advocate for their needs, and ensure that the community is a supportive space for everyone. My experience in creating support systems for underrepresented communities will translate directly into making HES a more inclusive environment.
I’ve always been someone who follows through on my commitments. In my previous leadership roles, whether with the Unbroken Foundation, Kissed by the Tism, or within the HES community, I’ve consistently delivered results. I’m transparent in my leadership and dedicated to making sure that the goals I set will be met with action. You can trust that I will work tirelessly to make HES a better place for all students.
While non-traditional students are an important part of the HES community, my platform is designed to benefit all students. My focus on advocacy, resources, and community-building applies to every student, regardless of their background or situation. I believe that by strengthening our support systems and creating more opportunities for connection, we can improve the experience for all students at HES.
I understand this concern, but I’ve always been proactive in managing my health, and I have built a strong support system to ensure that I can continue to fulfill my responsibilities. I’m committed to serving the full term as HESA President and have contingency plans in place to ensure that the role is covered in case of any unexpected health challenges. My determination to lead has only grown stronger through my journey.
My experiences—both personal and professional—have prepared me to lead with empathy, action, and resilience. I’ve successfully led organizations and initiatives that support underrepresented communities, and I know how to bring people together to create meaningful change. While I’ve faced challenges, they’ve only made me a stronger leader, and I believe that my dedication to the HES community sets me apart.
I’ve always thrived under pressure and have a proven track record of managing multiple high-level responsibilities. Whether it's through my advocacy work, career, or academic life, I’ve consistently demonstrated my ability to lead while balancing other commitments. I’m ready to bring that same level of focus and dedication to the role of HESA President.
As HESA President, I’ll introduce fresh, innovative initiatives to address gaps in our student experience and build a stronger, more connected HES community:
Creating a Direct Student Support Liaison: I will advocate for the creation of a Direct Student Support Liaison within HESA—someone dedicated to connecting students with Harvard resources and cutting through the red tape. This position would ensure that students dealing with complex situations like ADA accommodations, mental health challenges, or international student concerns have immediate, personalized support to navigate Harvard’s bureaucracy.
Building a Comprehensive Mental Health Fund: I will establish a Mental Health Fund for HES students that offers financial assistance for therapy, evaluations, and mental health services. Too many students are forced to delay or forego the support they need due to cost, and this fund would provide immediate, accessible financial aid.
Launching a Practical Career Accelerator Program: I will introduce a Career Accelerator Program specifically designed for working professionals and non-traditional students. This program will go beyond basic job placement services by offering personalized mentorship, networking events with top industry leaders, and hands-on workshops that focus on real-world skills, not just theory.
Introducing a Specialized Grant Program for Capstone Projects and Research: I will launch a Capstone and Research Grant Program that provides financial support for students undertaking major projects. Whether it’s research funding, supplies, or travel costs, this program will ensure that students have the resources they need to produce high-quality work without financial stress.
Creating an HES Student Innovation Hub: I will establish the HES Student Innovation Hub, a virtual and physical space where students can collaborate on entrepreneurial and creative projects. This hub will connect students from different fields, offering resources, mentorship, and funding opportunities to turn ideas into reality—whether it’s a startup, a social initiative, or an academic project.
Establishing an Emergency Hardship Fund for HES Students: Recognizing the unique challenges our student body faces, I will create an Emergency Hardship Fund to provide financial assistance to students experiencing unexpected life events, such as medical emergencies or sudden job loss. This fund would offer immediate relief, allowing students to stay focused on their education even in times of crisis.
Balancing multiple responsibilities is something I’ve always done, and I’ve developed strong time management and organizational skills to handle it all. As someone who’s already managing a career, advocacy work, and education, I know how to prioritize and delegate effectively. I am confident that I can dedicate the necessary time and focus to the role of HESA President.
Absolutely. I bring years of leadership experience through my advocacy work with D.H.S in anti-trafficking efforts, the Unbound Foundation, Kissed by the Tism, and other initiatives. These roles have taught me how to lead with empathy, build strong teams, and create meaningful change. At HES, I’ve worked one-on-one with peers and established groups to ensure students have access to the resources they need. I’m ready to bring that same dedication and leadership to the role of HESA President.
Throughout my time at HES, I’ve been committed to building a truly connected and supportive community. I’ve personally mentored students one-on-one, offering guidance through both academic and personal challenges. I’ve helped establish student-led groups that foster collaboration, providing spaces where students can share resources and build meaningful connections.
Behind the scenes, I’ve worked tirelessly to advocate for critical initiatives, such as pushing for comprehensive ADA accommodations, securing better access to mental health resources, and co-hosting events focused on professional development and career advancement. My mission has always been to ensure that HES is not just a place to study, but a community where every student—regardless of their background or challenges—feels supported, heard, and empowered to thrive.
